Brownieland Partners with PADV Atlanta for the Hearts with Hope Gala

The COVID-19 pandemic has brought on a variety of challenges for nonprofit organizations to provide services for communities. When it comes to intimate partner violence, the conditions around the pandemic, such as isolation and increased stress, have exacerbated the situation for many. Through all of this, Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV) has continued to serve the Atlanta community providing emergency intervention, violence prevention, and long-term advocacy for those in need. Every year, PADV puts on the Hearts with Hope Gala, their largest fundraiser of the year, which raises awareness and much-needed funds supporting PADV’s mission to end the crime of intimate partner violence and empower its survivors. Brownieland was honored to partner with PADV to create videos for their (virtual) Gala this year and support this incredible nonprofit’s work of ending domestic violence and empowering its survivors.

Partnership Against Domestic Violence (PADV) is the largest and one of the oldest domestic violence organizations in Georgia. Serving metro Atlanta since 1975, PADV transforms the lives of 18,000 women, children and teens every year through emergency intervention, violence prevention and long-term advocacy. PADV’s roster of services include a 24-hour crisis line, two 24-hour emergency shelters in metro Atlanta with 96 beds, legal advocacy, supportive housing, a teen dating violence prevention program, outreach and prevention programs for battered women and children, workshops on the effects of domestic violence in the workplace, and community education and training.
