Dual language learners, or learners who think, read, and write in more than one language, are a large part of our school-aged population. One in 4 children under eight years old in the US is a dual language learner. But too often, they are not recognized for their gifts of language and culture that they bring to a classroom. Brownieland partnered with the Atlanta Speech School's Rollins Center for Language and Literacy to create a new video to help teachers and leaders recognize the gifts of dual language learners.
