As a video production company, Brownieland Pictures has spent years crafting impactful eLearning content that helps organizations share knowledge in engaging and accessible ways. Whether it’s professional development for teachers, literacy training for parents, or structured learning programs for children, eLearning videos have the ability to break down complex topics, making them easier to understand and apply. Our experience in creating eLearning content has allowed us to develop a deep understanding of how to present information in a way that is both educational and visually compelling, ensuring that learners remain engaged and retain key concepts.
eLearning is more than just a tool—it’s a bridge to education for people who may not have access to in-person training. It provides flexibility, allowing learners to engage with content anytime, anywhere. This is especially important in fields like early childhood education, where teachers and caregivers need research-backed strategies to help children develop strong literacy skills. Brownieland Pictures has seen firsthand how effective video-based eLearning can be in delivering these strategies, ensuring that vital information reaches those who need it most.
Over the years, we have partnered with organizations like the Atlanta Speech School to produce eLearning videos for Cox Campus, a free online learning platform dedicated to eradicating illiteracy. Through this collaboration, we have played a key role in creating accessible training materials that empower educators and caregivers with the knowledge and skills to support children’s language and literacy development.
How eLearning Transforms Education
One of the most impactful applications of eLearning is in teacher training. The Rollins Center’s Cox Campus provides educators with science-backed strategies to help children develop strong reading skills. Brownieland Pictures has worked closely with the Rollins Center to produce high-quality instructional videos that bring these strategies to life. By using real classroom footage, expert insights, and engaging storytelling, these videos help teachers see best practices in action and apply them effectively. The ability to offer on-demand, video-based professional development ensures that more educators can access the training they need to support their students.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, when traditional schooling was disrupted, the need for digital learning became even more critical. The Atlanta Speech School responded by launching Pop-Up Early Learning, a free online preschool program designed to provide structured educational experiences for families at home. Brownieland Pictures helped create video content for this initiative, ensuring that young children continued to receive high-quality early childhood education despite the challenges of remote learning. This project reinforced how eLearning can provide stability and continuity in education during times of uncertainty.
Another powerful eLearning initiative we produced in partnership with the Atlanta Speech School is Talk With Me Baby, a series of videos focused on educating parents, caregivers, and healthcare providers about the importance of early language exposure. Research has shown that the number of words a child hears in their first few years of life directly impacts their literacy development. Through engaging video content, Brownieland Pictures helped spread this message to a wide audience, showing caregivers how simple conversations can set the foundation for a child’s lifelong learning.
Expanding Virtual Learning with Cox Campus

Throughout the years, the Atlanta Speech School and Brownieland Pictures have collaborated to create various virtual learning platforms. For the Montag Family Community Lecture, we worked with the Atlanta Speech School to develop a Virtual Book Study spotlighting Dr. Maryanne Wolf’s book, Reader, Come Home: The Deep Reading Brain in a Digital World. The study featured personal messages from Dr. Wolf and roundtable discussions with scholars and experts from the Atlanta Speech School.
According to the Cox Campus website, Dr. Wolf and other researchers have determined how we can end our country’s illiteracy epidemic by ensuring every child has the opportunity to build a strong reading brain. Dr. Wolf has popularized the understanding that reading brains do not develop naturally—they must be constructed. In Reader, Come Home, she calls readers to action with both a warning and a message of hope: we must actively build deep reading brains in children through print while leveraging technology as a tool for literacy rather than a hindrance. Her research underscores the urgency of digital learning solutions that not only teach but also preserve the critical thinking skills essential to literacy and democracy.
The Future of Digital Learning and Educational Media
As we celebrate Digital Learning Day, we recognize the transformative power of eLearning and digital media in education. Brownieland Pictures remains committed to producing high-quality eLearning videos that make education more accessible, engaging, and impactful. Whether it’s training educators, supporting parents, or helping organizations share their expertise, we believe video storytelling is one of the most effective ways to deliver knowledge.
Our ongoing partnership with the Rollins Center for Language & Literacy and other mission-driven organizations continues to reinforce the importance of eLearning in today’s world. As technology evolves, so do the opportunities to expand learning beyond traditional classrooms. We look forward to continuing our work in digital education, helping to ensure that every child, caregiver, and educator has the resources they need to succeed.
