For our August Volunteer Project, the Brownieland Team donated items to Dress for Success Atlanta in honor of National Women’s Equality Day.

As a woman-owned business, Brownieland shares their belief that every woman deserves the opportunity to reach her full potential. Volunteering with Dress for Success Atlanta allows us to support their mission of building up women’s agency and knowledge, fostering stronger connections between gender equality and economic sustainability. Together, we are working towards a future where every woman can create a lasting impact in both her personal and professional life.
Dress for Success Atlanta is a nonprofit workforce development organization dedicated to helping underserved women successfully transition into the workforce. The organization provides essential resources, including interview-appropriate clothing, career development support, and confidence-building tools. Women receive everything they need to make a strong impression during interviews, from professional attire to the self-assurance required to secure a job. Once employed, they can return to Dress for Success Atlanta to obtain the additional apparel and accessories necessary to thrive in their new roles.
In addition to its wardrobe services, Dress for Success Atlanta offers the Professional Women’s Group (PWG), a program designed to support women as they advance in their careers. PWG creates a welcoming environment where members can share experiences, grow their skills, and network with other women who have also transitioned into the workforce. Each meeting features an expert speaker and covers topics that promote professional development, ensuring that women continue to build on their success. Through its comprehensive programs, Dress for Success Atlanta empowers women to overcome obstacles, secure meaningful employment, and pursue career opportunities that provide both financial stability and growth.
