At Brownieland Pictures, we’ve had the privilege of partnering with the Atlanta Speech School’s Rollins Center for Language & Literacy over the years, creating eLearning videos that align with their mission to transform literacy education and advocate for Literacy & Justice For All. As the Rollins Center celebrates twenty years of impact and ten years of success through their innovative Cox Campus, we take a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve shared.
A Milestone Worth Celebrating
The Rollins Center, a program of the Atlanta Speech School, has spent two decades addressing the literacy crisis by working with educators, healthcare systems, and families. Their aim is to ensure that every child, regardless of their background, has the opportunity to become a deep reader. Their work extends from the last trimester of pregnancy through third grade, nurturing the essential brain development that sets children on the path to literacy.
In 2014, the Rollins Center launched Cox Campus, an online professional development platform that provides free, science-backed resources to educators and caregivers. This groundbreaking platform has reached over 325,000 members across all 50 states and more than 140 countries, creating a ripple effect of literacy transformation on a global scale.
Brownieland’s Role in Telling the Story
Brownieland Pictures is honored to be part of this journey, working alongside the Rollins Center to produce educational videos that further their mission. Our collaboration spans years, creating content that supports various initiatives, including Cox Campus and the impactful Talk With Me Baby program, which educates caregivers about the importance of early language nutrition. Through these projects, we’ve helped shine a light on the incredible work being done to close the word gap and ensure every child has access to literacy.
The success of Cox Campus is a testament to the Rollins Center’s unwavering dedication. By providing free, research-based online courses, they are changing the future for children everywhere, helping to break the cycle of illiteracy.
