Partnering for Impact: Brownieland and GEEARS Collaborate to Support Georgia’s Youngest Learners

Brownieland Pictures is honored to have partnered with Georgia Early Education Alliance for Ready Students (GEEARS) over the years producing impactful videos that support their mission to improve the lives of Georgia’s youngest children. In 2018, GEEARS held a gubernatorial summit on early education and they asked Brownieland to create a video amplifying the voices of parents across Georgia and their priorities for their children’s early educational experiences. Then in 2019, Brownieland and GEEARS collaborated to produce a video for the Mayor’s Summer Reading Club, an inspiring program providing free books to children from birth to five, fostering a love of reading and learning. Recently, Brownieland joined forces with GEEARS, Marietta City Schools, Resilient Georgia, and Cobb Collaborative to produce Parenting-Take Time to Connect, a heartfelt video emphasizing the importance of emotional well-being for young children.
Now, Brownieland and Georgia Early Education Alliance for Ready Students have once again come together to produce an Overview Video for their Annual Luncheon bringing GEEARS’ mission to life!

Here is what GEEARS had to say about our latest project together:

GEEARS: Georgia Early Education Alliance for Ready Students leads a statewide movement to ensure that children, ages birth to five, and their families have access to high-quality early learning, health care, family support, and more.

We do this with a multitude of strategies.

  • We conduct research to lift the voices of families and educators and champion policies and programs that improve their well-being.
  • We dispatch volunteers to inform communities about the importance of early childhood and connect them to relevant resources.
  • We convene partners and rally business, civic, and government leaders to raise funds to improve the quality of services for families and increase their access to those services.

Distilling what we do and communicating it in a winning, digestible way can be challenging! That’s why we enlisted Brownieland to work with us on a video that could help us make our mission clear in about three and a half light, bright minutes. We debuted the animated spot at our Annual Luncheon on November 21st, where about 200 funders, donors, sponsors, and fans gave it big applause.

The video layered our facts about early brain development, funding for services, and the economics of parenting and providing child care with Brownieland’s graphics, making GEEARS’ multifaceted approach clear and accessible. The animated pathway through the video gave our story a lively forward momentum that, time and again, showed the audience: Here’s a challenge, and here’s our holistic solution.

Through it all, Robyn Kranz was easy to plan and work with. Our back-and-forth to get to a happy place was smooth and seamless. We’re excited that we got to work with Brownieland on this really helpful, organization-defining project!”

GEEARS is a nonpartisan nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that all children in Georgia, from birth to age five, receive high-quality early learning and healthy development. Established in 2010, GEEARS builds on the legacy of the United Way’s Early Education Commission and works to maximize the economic and social impact of investments in early care and education. Through advocacy, innovative practices, and public awareness campaigns, GEEARS aims to prepare Georgia’s youngest learners for kindergarten and set them on a path to thrive academically, including achieving reading proficiency by third grade.
