Brownieland partners with local Atlanta organizations for Hear Every Voice

August 20, 2019 marked the 400th year since the first enslaved Africans arrived in Jamestown. Working with the Atlanta Speech School, GEEARS and the Alliance Theatre as part of the Hear Every Voice community partnership, Brownieland created an audio piece featuring Timothy Miller of the Atlanta Opera, singing “This Little Light of Mine” to share with young students, helping them to showcase their voices (and lights!) with the world.

Also, as part of this effort, Brownieland worked with Grady High School students to help them create a video asking the challenging questions around race, slavery and the importance of having a voice to fight injustice. We are honored to help promote this worthy cause and to be part of the ongoing conversation.
