In honor of National Back-to-School Month, the Brownieland Team volunteered with LiftUp Atlanta assisting with their Back Pack and School Supply Drive!
Back-to-school time is exciting for children and their parents. It’s a chance to meet new teachers and make new friends. However, starting the school year without the proper supplies can make new beginnings difficult. That’s where LiftUp Atlanta steps in. Our team sorted school supplies, helped children and parents fill lists of supplies for their children, and packed up backpacks donated by various individuals and organizations to support LiftUp Atlanta’s program.
We also had an opportunity to deliver some much needed men’s clothing to the Gateway Center, a homeless shelter in downtown Atlanta. Along with the School Supply Drive, LiftUp Atlanta collects clothing donations for needy families in metro Atlanta. Witnessing families getting what they need for their children really had an impact. It’s wonderful to know that people in our community are getting help from an organization like LiftUp Atlanta!
