Over the years, Brownieland Pictures has been continually inspired by working with organizations that give back to the community. So, in celebration of our 10-Year Anniversary, we decided to give back to those nonprofits in our community who are spreading hope and facilitating change every single day!
The Brownieland Team decided to roll up our sleeves and volunteer our time with a different organization each month for ten months. On December 8th, National Brownie Day, one of those nonprofits would be randomly selected for a free one-minute video on us for the opportunity to share their organization’s mission to a broader audience.
Well, today is the day to announce the winner of the Brownieland Pictures #10in10 Volunteer Campaign! (drum roll please…)
Congratulations to Literacy Action! Literacy Action is the Southeast’s oldest and largest nonprofit provider of adult literacy services. Literacy Action annually teaches over 1,000 adults how to read, write, understand mathematics, and learn other essential literacies necessary for a productive life. The Brownieland Team volunteered with Literacy Action’s Mock Interview Workshop where attendees learn how to dress for success, prepare for interviews, and practice their skills in mock interviews.
Every one of the nonprofits the Brownieland Team volunteered with was uplifting and the work they do helps define Atlanta as a community that cares deeply. With that said, here is an overview of the past year and our incredible experiences giving our time to Atlanta nonprofits through our #10in10 Volunteer Campaign so that you can find out about all of the amazing work going on in Atlanta! We want to give thanks to ALL of the organizations we volunteered with for all that you do for your communities. It has been a wonderful year celebrating the Brownieland Pictures’ 10-Year Anniversary and we look forward to many more years sharing your #Stories for the Greater Good!
