April is National Volunteer Month when we take time to recognize the amazing nonprofits that play a vital role in the well-being of our communities and the volunteers who lend a helping hand to these organizations. April became National Volunteer Month as part of the 1000 Points of Light campaign in 1991 and has continued to be a time that inspires communities to come together and make a difference.
At Brownieland, we have had the opportunity to see firsthand the incredible work that so many Atlanta nonprofits do daily. Back in 2017, the Brownieland Team was so inspired by our volunteer work through our #10in10 Volunteer Campaign that we continued volunteering with a different nonprofit every month and sharing each important mission. Our monthly volunteer projects are near and dear to our hearts.
With that in mind, we are excited to celebrate National Volunteer Month by featuring a post a day about each organization that we have volunteered with since our #10in10 Volunteer Campaign began. These nonprofits make our communities better, and we’d love for you to learn more about each and every one of these incredible organizations. So tune in to our social media sites daily including our Facebook Page and Twitter as we hope learning about the nonprofits will lift your spirits through these uncertain times. Also, check out our recent blog post featuring ways you can support these Atlanta nonprofits during the COVID-19 pandemic.
