In celebration of World Refugee Day on June 20th, the Brownieland Team organized a donation drive for the Atlanta International Rescue Committee. With the help of generous people in our community, we collected way more than anticipated, filling our vehicle to the brim with donations! Needless to say, we were honored to have the opportunity to provide necessities to refugees making a home for themselves in our city.

Dropping off donations to the staff at the Atlanta International Rescue Committee!
The International Rescue Committee responds to the world’s worst humanitarian crises and helps people whose lives and livelihoods are shattered by conflict and disaster to survive, recover, and gain control of their future. The world’s more than 60 million displaced people, the highest number ever recorded, require more than “aid as usual.” Their growing and increasingly complex needs mandate a transformation—a creative rethinking—in the global humanitarian response. The International Rescue Committee has taken on this challenge. In 2016, more than 26 million people benefited from IRC programs and those of its partner organizations. Join IRC supporters from around the world who have pledges to stand by people whose lives have been shattered by conflict and disaster and help rebuild their lives.
