Brownieland Pictures November #10in10 featuring PAWS Atlanta

In honor of Adopt a Senior Pet Month and National Animal Shelter Appreciation Week, the Brownieland Team volunteered with PAWS Atlanta walking a variety of dogs through the wooded trails available at the facility and socializing with the cats in their Cat Cottage. I have to say that we were incredibly impressed by everything this organization offers including pet adoption services, behavioral training, summer camps for kids, senior support & pet matching assistance, community outreach education and a host of volunteer opportunities. PAWS Atlanta houses a veterinary clinic with discount preventatives, low cost spay/neutering, dental services and vaccinations. They also have a Foster Care program providing all necessities and medical costs for the animal while in the program. Check out the members of their Secret Crush Club where the shelter pets’ adoption fees have been paid for by a secret admirer!

I will say that what stood out to us the most was how much heart and dedication we felt from the staff and volunteers at PAWS Atlanta. We would like to give a shout-out to Shelter Manager, Phillip Smith, for being an amazing advocate for PAWS Atlanta and we appreciate his assistance during our volunteer experience!

PAWS Atlanta is a no-kill shelter that provides love, care and basic training to enrich the lives of orphaned dogs and cats until permanent, safe homes can be found. PAWS Atlanta offers volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups, youth volunteers and court ordered community service along with a Holiday Lovin’ Program and Wags N’ Walks. PAWS Atlanta believes that people and pets bring out the best in each other. Therefore, the PAWS Atlanta mission is to build a community of caring, by people helping pets and pets helping people.
