The Brownieland Team was proud to be a part of the 2021 Atlanta Walk to Defeat ALS for our fifth year in a row! Participation in the Walk to Defeat ALS directly impacts people living with ALS and their families at the local level. Through education, support groups, access to care, and advocacy, the ALS Association of Georgia is working to defeat ALS and provide hope to people living with ALS and their families. Fundraising through the Walk drives bold and urgent innovation as we march together toward a treatment and ultimately a cure for ALS. This year, the Brownieland Team raised over a thousand dollars towards this vital cause, and The Walk officially raised $500,000 for families living with ALS in Georgia!

The ALS Association is the only national nonprofit organization fighting Lou Gehrig’s Disease on every front. By leading the way in global research, providing assistance for people with ALS through a nationwide network of chapters, coordinating multidisciplinary care through certified clinical care centers, and fostering government partnerships, The Association builds hope and enhances quality of life while aggressively searching for new treatments and a cure. The ALS Association of Georgia’s mission is to discover treatments and a cure for ALS and to serve, advocate for, and empower people affected by ALS to live their lives to the fullest.
