Brownieland Partners with AFAEE to Showcase Award-Winning Educators

The Atlanta Families Awards for Excellence in Education (AFAEE) has partnered with Brownieland Pictures for many years. In that time, we’ve celebrated with almost 50 winning educators. What better way to showcase AFAEE beyond the awards than to see what other benefits these past winners have given and received since they got their awards? Brownieland had the opportunity to talk with 7 past winners and see what they have been up to since winning, what the award has done to change their lives, and why it’s so important for all of us to celebrate educators for their amazing contributions to our children and our communities. Check it out here!

Atlanta Families’ Awards for Excellence in Education (AFAEE) understands how critical teacher and leader quality is to ensure that every child receives an excellent education. Educators’ impact and achievements go largely unrecognized, and many educators are not fully empowered to support their students. Through recognition, empowerment, and financial support, excellent educators can multiply the impact of their efforts and elevate the quality of public education in Metro Atlanta. AFAEE’s merit-based awards program has a rigorous application process designed to identify educators demonstrating increases in student achievement, enhancement of student self-esteem, and collaboration with community stakeholders. In 2015, AFAEE expanded its impact to include five districts in Metro-Atlanta: Atlanta Public Schools, Cobb County Schools, DeKalb County Schools, Fulton County Schools, and Gwinnett County Public Schools.
